Accountant

We have a great new vacancy for an experienced Accountant to join a very reputable locally owed accountancy firm, with a diverse client base from a variety of local industries.

The accounting team provides bookkeeping, accounts preparation, payroll, taxation and advisory services and although you will be supervised by either a senior accountant or the directors, you will be responsible for managing your own workload, and will be required to run specific client engagements and manage these day to day relationships.

The level of this role is flexible, and although candidates should ideally hold a relevant accounting qualification, consideration will also be given to those who qualify by experience.  Applicants must have a strong understanding of accounting principles and local tax rules, and will have strong IT knowledge, particularly with MS Office and ideally Xero experience. 

The scope of this role is varied, and responsibilities will depend on candidate capability, with potential to develop over time.
