Insurance - Senior Underwriter - Jersey or Guernsey

Due to growth our client is seeking to recruit a confident and experienced Senior Underwriter / insurance professional to join their busy Commercial Insurance team.  In this role you will be required to underwrite insurance cases within agreed processes, performing as part of a team to increase business development and retention targets. 

As Senior Underwriter majority of your time will be working with the company's brokers identifying, discussing, negotiating and converting new and existing business opportunities and making effective underwriting decisions. You will apply a range of underwriting, relationship management and business development techniques to retain existing and win new business opportunities, within our defined risk appetite. The successful candidate will have a passion for service delivery, great customer relationship skills and be a good communicator and team player.

Applicants will have at least Cert CII or be Dip CII and have underwriting experience or an understanding of the local insurance market would be advantageous.
