Data Protection Manager

Pivotal role in a market leading organisation!  Take responsibility for the organisation's compliance with data protection laws and regulations, through the development, implementation and maintenance of comprehensive data protection strategies to safeguard the business. This will include working closely with stakeholders and internal teams to ensure that data handling practices align with legal standards and internal policies, and carrying out regular data protection audits and risk assessments to identify areas of weakness and ensure ongoing adherence to relevant laws and policies. 

Applicants must have proven experience in a data protection or privacy role, ideally within a legal, compliance or IT security setting, with in depth knowledge of data protection laws and practices, including GDPR, CCPA and other relevant legislation.  You will need a strong understanding of information technology and data management systems, as well as strong analytical and problem solving skills. A proactive and collaborative style of working is essential, with strong communication skills and the ability to liaise confidently at all levels, clearly explaining complex legal requirements to non-specialists.
