Senior Fund Accountant

An established and award-winning provider of private wealth, fund and corporate administration services is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant to join its growing Jersey team. Working closely with colleagues across the business, you'll deliver exceptional client service, mentor junior team members and help drive continuous improvement while ensuring compliance with accounting standards, policies and regulatory requirements

As Senior Fund Accountant you will be responsible for maintaining accurate accounting records across a range of fund and corporate structures, preparing financial statements and investor reporting, and ensuring all reporting deadlines are met in line with client and regulatory requirements. The role also involves managing accounting queries, supporting the onboarding of new structures, attending board and shareholder meetings where required, and building strong relationships with clients, advisors and auditors.

Applicants should have at least three years' experience within a funds environment and possess a solid understanding of financial reporting, IFRS and UK GAAP. Those who are studying towards, or have already obtained, an ACA or ACCA qualification will be particularly well suited to the position.  

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced accounting professional with hands-on fund accounting experience gained within fiduciary, fund administration, private equity, real estate, investment management or wider financial services environments. Applicants from a purely audit background are unlikely to be suitable, as the role requires direct exposure to fund accounting and regular interaction with clients and stakeholders.
